The Fredericksburg Arts Commission administers an annual Creative Communities Partnership Grant to City non-profit arts organizations (formerly called the Local Government Challenge Grant). The program is funded with City tax dollars and matching funds from the Virginia Commission for the Arts. This is an operational grant for awardees; applications are not for specific projects or events.
The City of Fredericksburg is collecting applications for the FY2026 VA Commission for the Arts Government Challenge Grant. Any interested 501(c)(3) City arts organization should fill out the application and return it to MC Morris for consideration. Email MC Morris or go to 601 Caroline Street, Third Floor, Suite 303. All completed applications are due by COB March 1st, 2025.
